Series on Prayer~  The message next week is the final one in Pastor Tim’s series on prayer and is entitled,

“Prayer— It’s Time to Do It.”

Pray For and eat at Jesse’s Pizza ~  On Old 21 just south of M Highway. In an attempt to support our area we asked how we could be a blessing to them. They have offered to give back 10% of receipts when we eat there after. Just take your bulletin in onSunday or at any other time. It’s a way to enjoy a good meal and help our church at the same time. A group is going after church today.

Going Away Party for Garrett and Jessica Castor~  Will be held two weeks from today, Sunday, August 30, after worship. The church is providing chicken and drinks, families are encouraged to bring their favorite “fixin’s.”

There will be a time to express our appreciation to Garrett and Jessica for how God has used them here.

David Otis ~  Has been assisting Garrett and his work with the youth.

He is being considered for the youth leader position.

David will be sharing a little of his dreams for the youth group next Sunday.

Experiencing God Classes Start this week ~ There is still room in all the new classes so sign up today if you are interested. David Spears will lead the class taught at Beverly LaVear’s home at 4909 Old Lemay Ferry Road in Imperial. Her number is 314-775-3209 if you have questions or need directions. Cassie Butler will lead a class in Oakville at 7:00 PM Mondays at Salon 231, 4276 Telegraph Road behind Dairy Queen. The number at the Salon is 314-487-7100, though the salon isn’t open on Mondays. Dennis and Lynia Vest will host a class at their home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.

    This Saturday is February 14^th, Valentine’s Day.

Let someone know how much God loves them and how much you love them.

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

God’s love is personal. He knows each of us individually and loves us personally. His is a mighty love that has no beginning and no end. It is this experiencing of God’s love that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. Why does God love us? It is because of who He is: “God is Love.”
